Bible Study 9:30 am – Worship 10:30 am
Come and join us for praise and worship. Hear God’s Word that's never changed or compromised and be touched by the Holy Spirit.
Each week, we gather to delve into the teachings of the Bible and to foster camaraderie and personal growth among our group of men.
God
Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22 Psalm 90:2 Matthew 28:19 I Peter 1:2 II Corinthians 13:14
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
Man
Genesis 1:27 Psalm 8:3-6 Isaiah 53:6a Romans 3:23 Isaiah 59:1-2
Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of God’s creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” This attitude separates man from God.
Eternity
John 3:16 I John 2:25 & 5:11-13 Romans 6:23 Revelation 20:15
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
Jesus Christ
Matthew 1:22-23 Isaiah 9:6 John 1:1-5 & 14:10-30 Hebrews 4:14-15 I Corinthians 15:3-4 Romans 1:3-4 Acts 1:9-11 I Timothy 6:14-15 Titus 2:13
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Salvation
Romans 6:23 Ephesians 2:8-9 John 14:6 & 1:12 Titus 3:5 Galatians 3:26 Romans 5:1
Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
Eternal Security
John 10:29 II Timothy 1:12 Hebrews 7:25 & 10:10-14 I Peter 1:3-5
Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
The Holy Spirit
II Corinthians 3:17 John 16:7-13 & 14:16-17 Acts 1:8 I Corinthians 2:12 & 3:16 Ephesians 1:13 Galatians 5:25 Ephesians 5:18
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.
The Bible
II Timothy 3:16-17 II Peter 1:20-21 II Timothy 1:13 Psalm 119:105,160 & 12:6 Proverbs 30:5
The Bible is God’s Word to all men. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.
Core values can be thought of as the characteristics that shape a church’s culture. These are the values that will be talked about often among staff members and church members.
Sunday School is a time for Small Group Bible Study. This happens on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. We offer a variety of classes for adults. We have classes for young adults, singles, married adults, men's and women's classes - you are sure to find a class that suits your individual needs.
PRESCHOOL MINISTRY
The Preschool Ministry at ABC wants to come alongside you, as a partner, to offer encouragement and support as you raise your children. We want to help you, as the parent, to grow spiritually and allow you to fellowship with other believers without worry or interruption. We provide a clean and safe environment with volunteer worker who has been specifically trained to work with young children. We have individual rooms for each age group including Bed Babies, One-Year-Olds, Two & Three-Year-Olds, and Pre K. This allows us to provide personal care, nurturing and age-appropriate Christian training. We also provide childcare during special worship services and other events.
At ABC your child will have the opportunity to learn about, and experience God's love through Bible stories, interactive play, music, and crafts.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
The Children's Ministry of ABC seeks to help children realize their potential in Christ and challenges them to grow into a deeper relationship with Him by showing them who Jesus is in EVERYTHING we do. We desire that every child who comes through our doors knows at least two things when they leave: God loves them (and we do too!) and God has a special plan and purpose for their life.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH is a jam-packed worship service for KIDS ONLY including Praise & Worship, special sermons, interactive DVD's and much more!
YOUTH MINISTRY
If you are in 7th-12th Grade, the Youth Ministry at ABC is the place for you! The purpose of the youth ministry of ABC is to:
ADULT MINISTRY

Whatever walk of life you come from - whether you are a college student, a parent, a married or a single adult... we have a place for you! We offer more than just church on Sundays, we offer a place for you to belong, a place where you can serve, a place where you can grow in your Christian walk, and a place where you can fellowship with others who are right where you are in life.
SENIOR ADULTS are an important and vital part of the ministry here at ABC. At ABC you will find that the Seniors truly are a "JOY" (Just Older Youth) group. We are excited about what God is doing through our 55+ adults to reach our community and the world for Christ.
Adult Sunday School meets Sunday morning at 9:15 AM in the fellowship hall.
Currently we are working our way through the book Characters Volume 1 from Lifeway.
Every person in the Bible is a supporting actor in God's story—each revealing who God is and what His will is for human beings both then and now. In these characters, we see a glimpse of ourselves, coming to understand our failings, our potential, and God's purpose through it all.
The first volume of characters, The Patriarchs, examines some of the best-known characters in all the Bible. Through understanding not only the stories but the historical and social contexts of people like Abraham, Noah, and Joseph, we see the nature of faith and what it means to believe in a God who is still telling His story through His people today.

We are so glad you have an interest in the Lord Jesus and His Church. A person’s relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important decision they make. So there, it is a simple process! We look forward to opening our arms to you. Please call the church office or see any of our ministerial staff to get started.
Important! – If you are sixteen years or younger please be prepared to have a parent or guardian speak to our Pastor before you join Austintown Baptist Church. Children must have an understanding of what baptism means, and why they want to be baptized.
We value prayer and would love to lift your burdens before the Lord. Please send emails to prayers@austintownbaptist.com. And include your name, who we are praying for, the specific prayer request, and whether or not you wish to remain anonymous.
My name is Pastor Chuck Homa and this is my wife Holly who leads the praise music each Sunday. I attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and was an associate Pastor for seven years before taking the role of Pastor at Austintown Baptist. My wife and I live in the area and have four children and a grandchild. Holly is also an RN. So on top of her many roles in the church serving the members she also serves as an advocate for many as well. We count it pure joy to serve the Lord, and His people at Austintown Baptist and would welcome you to join us for praise and worship. Most who attend say our church feels like a family, and of course that's what the church should feel like. There are classes for all ages and challenging messages meant to raise up disciples as the Lord commands.
